I want to start by saying that this film is a horror classic undisputed. I do not want any of my criticism for keeping away from that.br / br / The Amityville Horror is a familiar haunted house story derived from "real" events. This is a young family who moves into a house that was a real bargain. What would happen if its former inhabitants have all been shot to death in his sleep by a man driven by voices in his head? It's really important that the patriarch of the new family looks exactly like that gunarmed madman? The houses do not have memories, right? Br / br / The home is the real star of the film. Walls bleed, inverted crosses, and bodiless voices are not lacking. While there are a lot of fear going around, just not as scary as the standard of today. However, the image of the house with a soft light emitting from the windows is just as iconic and memorable glove.br Freddy's / br / The sound is superb. Cats meow, creaking steps, and hoarse voices are crisp and clear demonicand will make you wondering about this obscure corner in your room when the surround sound and vice versa. Haunting chorus of children who have been running throughout the film is disturbing today as it was when I heard it so many years ago.br / br / The image quality and complete lack of any special features is a bit 'disappointing. The picture is certain and the upgrade from the DVD, but is only average at best compared to other Blu-rays. Many scenes are sharp and intense, but too many are deafand blurry. If this is the fault of the authors or simply a transfer of less than stellar, I do not know, but the evil is more visible on Blu-ray than it is on DVD. Fortunately the good outweighs the bad, but only marginally.br / br / However, something that is unforgivable is the lack of any special features except for a trailer of poor quality. No comment, not behind the scenes, documentaries, non-zero. This simply will not fly on this day. Even something as simple as a text screen forevents that this film is based would be good, but they have nothing is inexcusable.br / br / In general, this is a big issue of a horror classic. If you have never seen this movie before, keep in mind that this is about 30 years. Intimidation tactics were very different then than they are today. Do not be critical. Lower the lights, crank the surround sound, and I'm sure you'll have a great time. This is definitely the best version so far, despite my minor complaints. GETOUT! … Er … Get it now! “Amityville Horror [VHS] Discount” Overview

Based on a bestselling, allegedly nonfiction book about haunted goings-on in a Long Island house (IThe Amityville Horror Conspiracy/I), this rather cheesy horror movie is more silly than unsettling. James Brolin and Margot Kidder star as newlyweds who move into the empty home and are gradually affected by the legacy of a murder committed on the premises. Rod Steiger is a priest who can tell what’s up and gets dispatched in a rather ugly way. Director Stuart Rosenberg can’t lift the action above a certain level of tawdriness, and the audience ends up watching the horror from a distance instead of feeling involved. The Amityville Horror is a big house on the coast of Long Island, where newlyweds George and Kathy Lutz and their three children into the house that they hope will be their dream home, but ends in terror. Despite full disclosure to the real estate agent in the history of the house, George and Kathy buy the house. George says: "The houses do not have memories," but are turning to their family priest Father Delaney who believes the house is haunted and performs an exorcism on the house. Butthe evil spirit in the house leads him to become blind and makes him very badly. George and Kathy with the help of another priest Father Bolen and a police detective they face the fears of the house, but not knowing the spirit is planning to possess George and then the children. "The Amityville Horror" has all the characteristics of a good haunted house story. A good supernatural thriller. If you like being scared out of your brain, this film will do it for you. br /

Hoax or not, it’s a fairly decent horror movie – Joker – Michigan
The original The Amityville Horror (1979) stars James Brolin, Margot Kidder and Rod Steiger. A family of six people were killed in a Long Island home in New York on 13 November 1974. A year after George and Kathy Lutz moved into this house on Long Island. When the Lutz family moved in, strange events begin to take place, such as walls that drip blood, rooms with swarms of flies, rocking chairs that rock by themselves, and toilets with water pitch black, with the appearance of tar. It seemsalthough some of the Satanic presence at home. There is also what appears to be a portal to hell in the basement. The Lutzes must try to escape this house had moved in just 28 days earlier. Occur? br / br / This film is what I would classify as a fair, moderately effective horror film. Not great, not terrible, just fair. Certainly not in my all-time Top 5 list of haunted house movies. Far from it. But it's pretty decent. The story itself has been controversial sinceBeginning, with many arguing that it is a hoax. This has never been proven. Whether it is a hoax or not, is a decent enough movie to watch on Halloween night. On the positive side, the biggest thing in this movie is going for it is its musical score. Very creepy. In second place is the atmosphere autumn. We also get to see Margot Kidder in pigtails! Gotta love the '70s. Kidder also shows some skin. On the negative side, the film has a lot of boring part where I was waitingsomething to happen. Which is greater weakness of the film, followed by some mediocre acting. Also, this film, in my opinion, borrowed from The Exorcist in some way, although in a very subtle way. br / br / All in all, a decent haunted house movie. Not anywhere near my Top 5 haunted house movies of all time. However, it is worth at least a vision. You might like it more than me. Try it.br /

The Amityville Horror is scary and so much more that is based on true events or inspired by them, no one really knows what happens? But unfortunately the evil exists, as the spirits. While I could care less for James Brolin, who is a Communist and married to a (typical Hollywood) You must not miss this film! is the original and the remake better. Part 2 is just as creepy! Not see at night or with lights!
