… I agree that Paul should, only one of his DVD's, give the viewer an opportunity to see the concert only, similar to the "Concert for George" format, and another disc to complete the film with interviews, family trips to the concert , space shuttle, etc. I just keep the remote handy to skip all the non-concert material, which is every other channel, fortunately. That seems to work for me, but I souldn't have to do that sort of thing while trying to watch an entire concert video.br / br / Iare saying, however, that Paul's voice is in top form as the band. It is almost as good as getting a man in his 60's! I saw movies "were previously concert Paul does not sound as good as it does here, that was a very pleasant surprise. There is nothing worse than listening to a performer who is older mere shadow of themselves. This Fortunately, it is not the case here with Paul. This concert is also far superior to the USSR tour DVD on all levels. The list of which is alsoGreat, with Paul covering his entire career, including some more obvious "new" Beatles jewels I have not heard in its previous concerts.br / br / The part that really kills me is that I had tickets to see this tour but was mortally ill, so I had to sell to a friend At least I know that I lost an incredible opportunity to see a concert (not all necessary video) which has now been captured on this DVD.br / br /

The eternal fascination with all things Beatle pretty much guarantees an audience for any offering from the group and its respective members, and that will likely be the case with IPaul McCartney: The Space Within US/I, a documentary recorded during his 2005 world tour (and broadcast in truncated form by AE). Not that it’s by any means bad. McCartney and his crack four-piece band are seen performing a variety of Fabs faves, from the delightful trifle that is “I’ll Follow the Sun” to the genuine masterpiece that is “For No One” (the latter is a solo job, as are “I Will,” “Yesterday,” and others); as Apple computer poo-bah Steve Jobs, one of the many talking heads on hand to sing Macca’s praises, points out, just hearing these classics played and sung by the guy who wrote (or co-wrote) ‘em is a treat, and the great sound and high-definition video certainly don’t hurt. On the minus side, the camera spends a lot of time in the audience, capturing their rapturous and often quite touching responses to the music. There are also bits focusing on a Beatles-obsessed family from Columbus, Ohio, all three generations of which are excited, to put it mildly, when Sir Paul pays them a brief visit before going onstage, and on two astronauts on board the International Space Station, for whom McCartney plays “English Tea” (from his 2005 CD IChaos and Creation in the Backyard/I) through a live feed from his Anaheim, California gig. These tangents may be distracting to fans who just want to watch McCartney and company at work, but considering that this was dubbed “the Us Tour,” they should hardly come as a surprise. Same goes for the disparate line-up of celebs and others, ranging from Bill Clinton and various academic types to Tony Bennett and Eddie Vedder, whose comments punctuate (and occasionally interrupt) the music. Bottom line: there are better McCartney concert videos (like ILive in Red Square/I), but this is a Beatle we’re talking about here. For many, that will be more than enough. McCartney At The Top Of His Game – Dixie Fried –
After 45 years, is absolutely extraordinary that Paul McCartney can still touch the hearts of audiences with his music and his performance. This is one of the best concert DVDs I've ever seen. I'm not going to shoot for a live McCartney. Other than a bit 'too much time with a couple of families fan (touching but I prefer to see the show), on the DVD offers a great song after another. The group is fantastic, Paul was in great voice and her coverentire career with a lot of Beatles songs. All I can say is "More than 40 years ago today, McCartney helped the band to play. They were going in and out of style, but are guaranteed to raise a smile. And so I present to you the act you've known all these years: Paul McCartney Lonely Hearts Club Band "

Paul worship is messy – Michael Stephens –
I could be with only half of this video. I could not take the video too frequently of his adoring (I should say cult) fans in the crowd hanging around any longer and cried. I had a toothache from all the "candy". br / br / In addition, and despite the constant reminders by the members of the band and crew and what Paul himself an "average man", he is the worship and comments often terrible McCartney and his music His legend was nauseating. Enough with all the "United States"business, I got the idea after the first 2 or 3 explanations of it. Erect a monument to him and be done with it. I was getting the feeling that he is Coming. 2nd br / br / that his music could close the generation gap and fix dysfunctional families is a huge stretch of imagination. If people expect to happen, and last, are at best delusional. br / br / And what happens with the scene of a family of Michigan is preparing to go to the concert room, give me a break!How could I interest the review of "loyal, dedicated" fans prepare to go to her concert. "Apart from my family and the religion he (McCartney) was the biggest influence on my life," says one boy. Another example of worship cloying McCartney. Get a life mate! Br / br / I almost forgot to say (as others) video editing is horrible. By jumping from the camera angle to camera angle you've never been able to see the "band" perform. It 'also annoying to be cutto McCartney or a roadie or a technical or some other "follower" spouting accolades in nearly every song in between! LET'S JUST see the concert for crying out loud! Br / br / As far as music goes it is too polished, too "perfect", as practiced in us that McCartney is a Perfectionist. The group is good and Paul does not sound bad for a 63 year old. I give this a try VERY'***' only because I like the music, but if that was all I wanted I bought the CD instead.

Another Blu-Ray dissapointment – R. George –
Good video, sound sad. Instead of recording surround sound in mind, it sounds like they tried to re-mix of the 2 channels to believe 5.1. It did not work.
